Welcome to Line-Up!


With our advanced ticketing system, you can get your event set up in a matter of minutes.

If you are using Line-Up for the first time, then all you need to do is follow our simple step-by-step guide below - just click on the highlighted links for help articles about each step.


How can I contact the Line-Up Team?

Either by contacting us at [email protected] or messaging us directly using the Line-Up Hub.

We will attempt to answer your enquiry as fully as possible, however it really helps us if you're as specific as you can be.

This includes:

  • Sending us links to the part of Line-Up you're referring to, e.g. an event/performance/order/report.

  • Sending us screenshots and/or screen recordings of your question/issue. We recommend using Jam links, as that way we can see any network errors.


Getting Started with Line-Up

  1. Sign up to Line-Up - book a demo with us to get started.

  2. Line-Up: The Essentials - read up on our User Tips, Line-Up Lingo and our Ideas Portal.

  3. Create Organisation - enter your Organisation details.

  4. User Permissions - invite team members to your Organisation as various roles.


Account Set-Up

Set up some of the account-wide elements that you can use across all events:

  1. Channels - control your sales through different channels, i.e. Box Office, Telephone, Website, which you can set on and off sale schedules for.

  2. Payment Methods - add the different ways users can pay for your tickets, including connecting to payment platforms.

  3. Venues:

    1. Venue - enter the name and address of your Venue.

    2. Venue Plans - build seats or areas with Reserved Seating or assign capacities with a General Admission plan.

    3. Seat Types - add categories to your seats if you have a Reserved Seating Venue Plan.

  4. Adjusters - set up the commissions or fees that can be set inside or outside of your prices.

  5. Opt Ins - create the marketing and/or terms and conditions available for your customers to agree to for your Events.

  6. Payment Terminals - set up Terminals for card/OTD payments.


Event Set-Up

Now that you've set-up your account, you are ready to create your first event. Just go to the Events page, click New Event and add the following:

  1. Create and manage Events - enter the details for your Event and make changes in bulk.

  2. Performances - bulk create details for all your Performances on one page.

  3. Availability Status - if you have Reserved Seating, create allocations and/or locks on seats before assigning to Performances.


Prices

Set up your pricing and control how and where you sell your tickets

  1. Price Tables - set up the pricing structure for your event, including Price Bands and Variants.

  2. Price Profiles - add prices to seats if you have Reserved Seating or capacities if you have General Admission, before assigning them to your performances.

  3. Discounts - create promo codes and special offers.

  4. Visibility Rules - restrict how and when your prices are visible for ticket buyers.

  5. Basket Validation - set rules and limitations for your Tickets.


Email & Ticket Delivery

Customise your event further by attaching the following features:

  1. Delivery Methods - choose how you would like your Customers to receive their Tickets.

  2. Email Templates - design custom Email Templates to send to customers, e.g. pre/post-show emails.

  3. Ticket Templates - design what your Tickets look like to your Customers.

  4. Merge Tags - add transaction-specific data/code that you can insert into your HTML Email and Ticket Templates.

  5. Barcodes - how to set up, generate and import Barcodes.

  6. Manual Ticket Delivery - how to manually send Emails and Tickets to Customers


On Sale

Now that your event is now ready, set up the following to start selling tickets:

  1. Online Booking Flow - choose your preferences so we can set up your booking flow and then you can add it to your Website.

  2. Customer Forms - gather info from your Customers at check-out.

  3. Purchase Flows - set up your Box Office and Online Checkout flows which you can use to sell tickets and create Payment Links.

  4. Purchase Channels - create Channel-specific booking links.


Box Office

Sell tickets, make reservations and manage seats via the Box Office page:

  1. The Box Office Page - learn how to use the Box-Office page for Events.

  2. Box Office Payments - learn how to take Customer payments in Box Office.

  3. Box Office Additional Functions - nearn how to change Bands, Availability Statuses and Seat Types via the Box Office.

  4. Taking Payments - learn all you need to know about Box Office payments.

Customise your event's booking flow with promo codes, upsells and add ons:

  1. Products - create up-sells and standalone Products for your event, e.g. Programme, Pre-show drink and add visibility rules.

  2. Vouchers - set up gift vouchers to sell/upsell and learn.

Learn how to swap tickets and process refunds:

  1. Manage Customers - edit Customer details and merge Customer Profiles.

  2. Access Customers - create/manage Access Customers and create Access Tickets.


Attendee Management

Manage attendance for your event with our scanning and checking-in features:

  1. Scanning Tickets - Access Control Devices - add devices that you can use to scan and redeem tickets.

  2. Manual Check-In - redeem Barcodes for a Performance, without having to use a scanner.

  3. Attendee List - build a Report to show list of attendees for an Event/Performance.

  4. Performance Seating - seat attendees for GA-selling Events.
