What is a Schedule?
where you can automatically run/send Reports or Dashboards. You can choose to send them in PDF, CSV ir STFP format.
When creating a Schedule, you can select:
The Reports you'd like to be sent. You can add multiple Reports to one Schedule
The recipients you'd like to them to be sent to
The exact time you want them to be sent
What are the different Statuses for a Schedule?
You can check the status of Schedules' delivery and see the following options:
Success - the Report was generated and sent accordingly
Pending - the Schedule started and is currently processing the connected Reports
Error - a few different options can appear, but it is mainly tied to the generation of the attached Reports
βFailed to generate a CSV/PDF export. - the Report wasn't able to generate.
We'd recommend going directly to the Report and make sure the data parameters are correct as there may be conflicts
βThe export was not completed in time. - The request timed out. This may be due to a large amount of data within the Report. We'd recommend either:
Adding more filters to make your data more specific, e.g. specific dates or Events
Or removing certain Fields/Metrics to reduce the number of rows, e.g. removing Customer Full Name from a financial report.
β
Report was generated successfully, but attachments could not be delivered - the system encountered a problem in sending the Report.
When the request was made by the system to email or process a SFTP, it wasn't able to be completed. Please ensure all the recipient information is correct within the Schedule. If so, please contact the Line-Up Support Team with details.
What is a Document Delivery Method?
It is a distribution list that you can use for Report Schedules.
For example, if you have a group of promoters or producers who regularly receive the same type of report, then you can group their email addresses together in Document Delivery Method.
This means that you can simply select this group when creating a Report Schedule, rather than typing all the individual email addresses out.
There are two types of Document Delivery Methods you can create:
Email - where you can add the recipient email addresses that will be grouped together for your Report Schedule.
SFTP - Secure File Transfer Protocol. This guarantees a secure way to send files and is handy if you're running a data warehouse.
