What can I do on the Box Office page?

It is where you can:

FAQs

Can I find an Order from the Box Office page?

Yes, if you have a Reserved Seating Venue Plan. On the Seat Map, hover over the seats to check the name on the booking.

Right-click on the seat and click View Transaction, the Order page will then appear on a new tab for you

A payment has been cancelled on the Card Reader but I can't continue on the Payment page.

You need to delete the pending payment on the page so the balance can be returned to the basket.

If you select the red bin icon button next to the payment in the basket, then you'll be able to continue with the transaction and try the payment again.

I've added Customer Details but I'm not able to continue.

This is often because of the email address that has been entered - if you have copy and pasted the email then it sometimes adds a space after the last letter - try clicking back into the Email Address box and check if there's a space.

If there is one, delete so that there is nothing after the final number.

If that's still not working, then it might be worth typing the full email address out and seeing if the Continue button appears for you.

This is also sometimes due to a phone number that has been added - check to see if there is a gap between any digits in the phone number box. If there is, delete that gap and the Continue button should appear.

What do the different seat colours refer to on the Venue Plan?

To see the different type of seat colours in the Box Office booking flow, click Venue Plan Key in the pricing legend:

Why can't I see the Performances or Tickets for my Event?

This could be because you haven't completed all the steps in the Event Set-Up.

In order to sell tickets for your event, you will need to enable Channel access for your Event, Performances and Prices.

Can I change Channel or Purchase Flow during a transaction?

Yes, just click Settings in the top right corner:

On the pop-up you can then change Purchase Flow and Channel.

NOTE - You can only use a Box Office Purchase Flow when editing transactions.

Why can't I see the Band that I want to add to my seats?

This will be because it hasn't been added to the Price Table for the Event.

Why can't I see the Rebanding/Seat Availability/Seat Types functions at Box Office?

You might not have the correct User Permission. You must have one of the following roles to re-band at Box Office:

  • Box-Office Admin

  • Event Manager

  • Owner & Admins

The standard Box-Office User Role only has access to the Basket function on the Box Office page.

Can I Reband anywhere else?

Yes, if you have the correct User Permission, i.e. Event Manager, Admin or Owner, you can add/remove Bands on the Prices and Performances tabs on the Event page.

However, it's only on the Box Office page you can reband while viewing a live Venue Plan - so you can see which seats have been sold and/or allocated.

What does the Seat Availability function do?

It enables you to change an Availability Status - i.e. add or remove allocations or locks - for seats, on a performance in Box Office.

I'm trying to change Band/Seat Availability in Box Office but it won't change after I click on my seats.

If you are selecting the seat first, before choosing the new Band/Availability Status, you will need to use the Paintbrush. You'll still be able to click on the seat as normal if you are selecting the Band/Availability first.

How do I change Seat Types on the Box Office page?

By using the legend underneath your Venue Plan, and choosing the Change Seat Types option instead of the Add to Basket option.

My Paintbrush isn't sticking on my seat map.

This may be because you aren't holding down shift and/or clicking on your mouse when selecting seats. You need to do both at the same time to make sure seats are selected.

I've highlighted too many seats/want to un-highlight them.

Hold either:

  • shift + command - if using a Mac or

  • shift + control - if using Windows

And the Eraser icon will appear. You can then click and drag across the seats you want to deselect.

How do I get back to Paintbrush from Eraser?

Let go of command or control but still hold down shift and the Paintbrush will appear again.

I've selected all of my seats with Paintbrush. What do I do now?

Let go of shift and the cursor will appear as normal again so you can proceed with your seats.
