How can Line-Up help with my Tracking?

We provide a universal tracking layer via our purchase flow.

Our tracking layer pushes events into Google Tag Manager which allows you to implement tags for platforms such as Meta, TikTok, Twitter, etc.

You can then pick up and listen to those events for your tracking.

If it's specifically tracking and analytics you would like help with, then we would suggest hiring a digital marketing agency or freelancer who can implement marketing tags for you.

Why should I hire an external party for Digital Marketing?

As the ticketing software provider, we deliver and maintain the ticketing system. We do not provide digital marketing support and as such we would suggest hiring a digital marketing agency or freelancer to assist with these specific requests.

They can help with tracking data, analytics and adding marketing tags to your Google Tag Manager, as well as general digital consultancy.

What do I need in order to track from the Line-Up Purchase Flow?

You will need to set up Google Tag Manager in order to track the 'events' that are triggered on the Line-Up purchase flow ('view item', 'add to cart', etc).

GTM also lets you manage all the e-marketing tags (i.e. Pixels) on your website in one place.

It supports Tags for advertising platforms such as:

Once you have it installed, please send us your GTM ID (e.g. GTM-1234TLE) and we can add it to your checkout flow.

The conversion tracker then needs to be set up on GTM to fire with the correct conversions.

We also recommend using Preview Mode on GTM, which tells you all the actions/Tags that are getting fired in Tag Manager and what is available in the Data Layer. All this data is available for you to use in any pixels.

Do you have any Digital Marketing recommendations?

Digital Agencies:

  1. Chris Unitt/One Further - Chris comes highly recommended for analytics and digital marketing. One Further offers a range of services around analytics, digital marketing, custom analytics dashboards and Google Ads. They also do GTM and Google Tag Manager training (and more) in their Coach Programme.

  2. Substrakt Studio - Substrakt are a digital agency who provide a range of digital consultancy services and training, including free webinars. They can create custom dashboards, and offer training and consultancy on GA4 and Google Tag Manager.

Freelancers:

  1. Sam Scott-Wood - freelance digital marketing and email/CRM strategy specialist, having previously worked at Cog web agency. Sam has a lot of experience with non-profits and working with “non-digital” types but is currently focusing on larger digital transformation pieces with organisations.

  2. Katy Arnold - freelance digital marketing specialist. Having previously worked at Substrakt, Katy has experience of the arts, ticketing systems and tracking event campaigns. Katy does GA4 and Tag Manager training and can build custom dashboards, as well as advising on SEO.

Can I send abandon cart emails from Line-Up?

Unfortunately that functionality isn't possible in Line-Up - we simply provide the abandon cart tracking events on the Purchase Flow.

It would need to be managed via Google Tag Manager and then use an external email system to send any abandon cart emails.
