Overview & FAQs: Availability Statuses

Updated over a week ago

What is an Availability Status?

An allocation or a lock you can create on seats for a Reserved Seating Venue Plan.

This would be used in scenarios where you want to limit access to, or exclude access from, a certain Channel for a specific number of seats.

FAQs

Why isn't an Availability Status appearing on Performances even though I've created it?

Availability Statuses are set for the Venue Plan, not for the Event.

So if an Availability Status has been created through the Event page, it will need to be applied to performances for it to work.

How do I apply to Performances?

You can do this in bulk via the Performances page for an Event.

If you'd just like to add an Availability Status to a single Performance, you can do this on the Box Office page.

Can I lock seats to a Discount?

Yes, you can add a Discount to an Availability Status so that those seats are only available via that Discount. This would be how to set up a 'Rush' or 'Day Seats' style offer.

Can I create an Availability Status for a GA Event?

No, we currently only support Availability for Reserved Seating Venue Plans.

If you would like to do Holds for GA Events, then the best option is to create a Hold Band on your Price Table and assign that a capacity, which you can release when you'd like those tickets to be available.

See our GA Price Profile Guide for more instructions.
