What is an Access Control Device?
It is the device that you use to scan tickets.
We recommend using either a phone/tablet or a portable barcode scanner (which can be purchased via Amazon) as devices to scan tickets.
You can create a login for a device on Line-Up and connect this to our Access Control scanning portal, where you can use it to scan and redeem tickets.
The Access Control portal works with any phone or laptop browser; the easiest option would be to log in to the Access Control browser on a mobile phone and then use the camera on the phone to scan customer tickets.
What appears on the screen when I scan a Ticket?
There are 3 different Statuses that appear on the screen after a Ticket has been scanned. The barcode number will appear on the screen for each scenario.
GREEN - SUCCESS
The Ticket has been successfully redeemed.
If you have a group order, you can tap Scan remaining to redeem all the other tickets.
To carry on scanning for other customers, tap Scan next or point your scanner at the next barcode in order to carry on scanning.
ORANGE - ALREADY REDEEMED
The Ticket is valid but has already been scanned. This might be because:
The customer has already entered and is trying to re-enter.
A printed ticket has been photocopied or shared.
A colleague scanned the same ticket twice, or chose Scan remaining previously and the whole order was checked in at once.
RED
Currently Invalid
This usually means the ticket is for a different Performance date or time or has not passed the Barcode scanning rules.
Completely Invalid
This means the ticket is not valid at all and can mean that:
The ticket has been voided, potentially after a refund.
The barcode has been regenerated and re-issued for this order, meaning this one is invalid.
The barcode does not match any record in the system.

If there is a network error on the screen, it means that the device cannot reach the server and you should check your connection.
