Guide: Archiving

Certain items can be archived if you are not using them anymore. This means that they will disappear from the main list, but you can restore them at any point if needed.

Items that can currently be archived are:

Below is an overall guide on how to Archive and Restore items.


Archiving

  1. Click on the Manage button for the specific item you want to archive

  2. Click on the Archive button on the top right

  3. If there are no live features connected, you will be able to Archive the item


Accessing Archived Items

  1. You can still access Archived items via the Filter button

  2. This will change the items in the table to only show Archived items - noted by the Archived label next to the Filter button


Unable to Archive - Dependencies

  1. If there are live features connected to the item, you'll see a list of features that are attached to the item (Dependencies) in the pop-up

  2. In order to complete the action, you'll need to remove it from those live items. The Dependencies have a hyperlink that will take you directly to that page.

    Some examples of these Dependencies are:

    1. Ticket Templates in an Event's Print Rules

    2. ​Email Templates in a Sequence within a Delivery Method

    3. Delivery Methods with Active/Inactive Print Rules

    NOTE - We would advise referring to the Guide for the Feature you're trying to Archive at this point. This is because each one has a specific set-up process which may affect Archiving and Restoring.

  3. Once remedied, you can click Refresh List to be able to Archive the item.


Restoring

  1. To Restore an Archived item, once on that item's page, you can click on Restore in the top right

  2. If there are no Archived features connected, you will be able to Restore the item


Unable to Restore - Dependencies

  1. If there are Archived features connected to the item, you'll see a list of features that are attached to the item (Dependencies) in the pop-up

  2. In order to complete the action, you'll need to remove it from those Archived items. The Dependencies have a hyperlink that will take you directly to that page.

    An examples of these Dependencies could be a Delivery Method with an Archived Email Template.

    NOTE - We would advise going to the specific Guide for the Feature you're trying to archive at this point, as a specific Feature may have a unique process

  3. Once remedied, you can click Refresh List in order to Restore the item.
