Updated over a month ago

12 December 2025

Performance list filter by tag

We have the ability to filter a performance list by tags that may have been applied.

What's new

When managing an event and making updates from the event performance list, a new 'Tags' option is now available that will allow to filter the performance list by matching tags:

Clicking the 'Tags' check box, the familiar tags search box appears, with tags that match your input being listed:

You can select one or more from the list, and the performances will be filtered according to the tags that you have entered:

NOTE - When more than one tag is entered into the filter, these will be treated as an 'or' condition, meaning the the performances in the list must have one tag OR the other. In the example above, this would result in the following list:

Seat History

We have introduced a full audit trail for reserved seating venue plans. Anyone with Box Office Admin permissions and higher can now access a seat audit trail for any given seat in a reserved seating performance through right clicking on the seat from the venue plan.

This is active for all clients effective immediately, and the demonstration video can be found by clicking here.

What's new

The seat history audit trail will show relevant actions that have happened on a seat for a given performance. This includes: seat creation, band changes, availability changes (allocations/holds), seat type changes, reservations, completed sales, and returns (exchanges/refunds). All dates are shown in local time.

NOTE - Only completed actions will be retained for audit purposes. Basket actions (add/remove/expired basket) are NOT retained.

Data availability and retention

Audit trail data for seat history has been tracked from 1 December 2025. Data will be retained and is available to view up to 30 days following the date of a given performance.

Accessing and viewing Seat History

When you select a performance in Box Office, the 'hover over' action remains the same:

For admin users, when you right click on a seat, a new 'View Seat History' option is available:

When this is clicked, the Seat History 'drawer' will slide out from the right side of the screen to display the summary audit trail for the selected seat:

This can be closed by clicking the 'X' in the top right corner, you are returned to the venue plan.

The Activity History is shown in date order, with the most recent action at the top of the display.

Data elements

The selected seat and current seat status is shown at the top of the display. The current status shows the key data elements that are tracked: current status, availability status, current band, and current seat type, along with the date and time of the last update.

In the Active History list, each entry can be expanded to show the details for that entry. All actions are tracked, whether they were individual, manual actions that happen from the Box Office, or a bulk action that results from changes made from the event performance list.

Seat Created - The first action when assigned to a performance.

Seat type - Any action related to adding or removing a seat type.

Availability status - Actions relating to adding or removing a hold or allocation.

Price band - Actions relating to price band updates.

Transactions - When expanded, the applicable order reference is shown. When that is clicked, that order will be opened in a new browser tab.

Transactions are broken down into:

  • Reservations, showing both the creation of the reservation as well as when the reservation is released.

  • Purchase, for completed orders.

  • Return, for refunds or when a seat has been returned as part of an exchange. NOTE - same seat exchanges will be reflected as a return item and purchase item in the activity history.

Exchange to the same seat

We have introduced the ability to process an exchange to the same seat for a reserved seating event.

What's new

Previously, when you needed to modify a reserved seat booking, for example, to change the variant that had been booked, it was necessary to process a refund for that seat, then create a new order for the same seat at the new price.

With this update, during the ticket exchange process, when processing an exchange in the basket and you go to the same performance, you can now select the same seat or seats from that venue plan in box office add to the basket and continue with the exchange.

In this example, I want to exchange seats F3 to F5 and change from a 'Senior' variant to 'Full Price':

When I click on the performance date and time from the basket and go to the box office venue plan, when you hover over the seat, a new status 'Return in Basket' is shown:

I can select one seat, or multiple seats using the paint brush and then select the new variant:

In this example, the three seats are selected at the Full Price variant:

And when hovering over the seat in the venue plan, the updated status is also reflected there:

The returned variant and new variant sale are also reflected in the basket:

The exchange can then be completed.
