Apply a Reduced VAT Rate

NOTE - This will be live in the first week of June 2026

If your Event spans a period where a temporary reduced VAT rate applies (e.g. a UK VAT relief period), you can set up a child Variant so that Performances during the eligible months are sold at the lower rate, while all other Performances remain at the standard rate.

  1. Open your Price Table and click Duplicate as Draft if the table is currently Active

  2. Click New Variant to create a new Variant

  3. Name it clearly so it is easy to identify, e.g. Full Price (Reduced VAT)

  4. Enter the prices for each Band. These should reflect the lower face-value ticket price under the reduced VAT rate

  5. Set the Tax Rate on this Variant to the reduced rate (e.g. 5%)

NOTE – Repeat this for every Variant that needs the reduced rate (e.g. Concession, VIP). Each parent Variant should have its own reduced-rate child Variant.

Control Visibility for the Relevant Performances

You need to make sure that the reduced-rate Variant only appears for Performances during the months the lower VAT rate applies. There are two ways to do this:

Option A – Use a dedicated Price Profile

  1. Create a new Price Profile that includes only the reduced-rate Variants

  2. Assign this Price Profile to the Performances that fall within the eligible period

  3. The standard-rate Variants should remain on the default Price Profile for all other Performances

Option B – Use Visibility Rules on the Variant

  1. Right-click on the reduced-rate Variant and click Manage Visibility

  2. Add a Visibility Rule that restricts the Variant so it is only visible for Performances within the eligible date range

  3. Add an inverse Visibility Rule to the standard-rate Variant so it is hidden during the same period. This will prevent Customers from seeing both options at the same time

For more on Visibility Rules, see Overview & FAQs: Visibility Rules

Discounts

  1. Click the Discount Mode toggle

  2. Click Assign Discounts

  3. On the pop-up, either click the dropdown and select Discounts, or type into the search box to find a Discount

  4. Select which Variant(s) to apply the Discount to

  5. Click Done and you'll see the discounted price per Band

Adjusters on Discounts

Adjusters are not automatically assigned for Discounts, as they may not apply.
You will need to assign the Adjuster to the Discounted Variant if you want it to be Reported or paid for by the Customer.

  1. To add Adjusters to Discounts, right click on the Discount Variant and click Manage Adjusters

    1. To override a Discount/Adjuster price, click on the individual cell and enter the new price.

Save, Review & Publish

  1. Click Save after you've made your changes.
NOTE - You must save any changes you've made before progressing. If you click Review and Publish without saving, the changes will not be saved/published

  2. Click Review

Changes to an Active Price Table

  2. Once that's edited and published then that will replace the previously published version.

To view all versions of your Price Table - Draft, Archived and Active versions - click the dropdown on the top left
