Guide: Generating Barcodes

Follow the steps below to generate a Barcode

NOTE - If you have a Delivery Method with Print Rules set up, you do not have to use the Barcode option on an Order unless you want to generate a new Barcode.

The Print Rules on an Event will handle automatically generating a Barcode.


Generate Barcode

  1. On the Order page, click Actions, and then Generate Barcode

    NOTE - The Order status (shown in the top left of the Order page) must show as Complete for this button to be available

  2. On the pop-up, click Yes and the Barcode will be generated/regenerated

  3. You can email the new Barcode/ticket to the Customer by clicking on Actions then Email Order:

  4. On the pop-up, select:

    1. Email Template - select which template from the dropdown you want to be used for the email

    2. Delivery Method - select which template from the dropdown for the transaction items. If you are attaching a Ticket, make sure to choose the Delivery Method which has the correct Ticket Template attached

    3. Attach Ticket Template - attach the template associated with this Delivery Method

    4. Click Save and the order will be resent to the email that is attached to the order


View Barcodes for a Performance

Performance Page

  1. Go to the Events page, select your Event and click Manage on your Performance

  2. Click View Transactions to see a Transaction Items list for that Performance

  3. All items with generated Barcodes will show a date and time that the most recent Barcode that has been generated in the Barcode Generated At column.

    1. If this field is empty then it means the Barcode has not yet been generated


Box Office

  1. For Reserved Seating Events, in Box Office, you can click on View Transactions:

  2. This will open a drawer with the Transactions List, where you can see all Completed Orders and Reservations, and their Barcode Status:

  3. Clicking on a specific Order will bring you to that Specific Order page


Reports

  1. In a Performances Report, you can add the following Fields

    1. Barcode - provides the Barcode Number

    2. Is Redeemed - "false" means the Barcode has not been redeemed, and "true" means that it has
