What is the Line-Up Ideas Portal?

The Line-Up Ideas Portal is a project management software tool, hosted on the Craft platform: https://lineup.ideas.craft.io/

It is the place for the Line-Up Community to submit ideas for feature requests, vote on existing ones and generally help steer product development at Line-Up.

Getting started

1. If you don't have a Craft Account already, please fill out this Google Form. We will then send you an invitation to complete registration.

2. Once you've received the invitation, you'll be able to login and start submitting your ideas.

The Layout

  • On the home page, you'll be able to filter by Category, change the sort options, and change to a list view

  • You can add filters to view the areas you are specifically interested in

  • You can sort options to view by Status or Votes:

How do I submit a new Idea?

  • If your idea doesn’t already exist, you can submit a new one

  • Just click + Add idea, and this form will pop up:

Please add as much detail as you can so that we can process and review the ideas quickly. It also gives clarity to anyone else who might wish to vote on it, or add their comments.

You can enter info for the following fields:

  1. Idea title - try and make this as clear as possible, especially if related to existing features. This makes it easily searchable for others.

  2. Description - The more detail we have here on the idea and how you expect it to work, the better.

  3. What is the problem you are trying to solve? - This might sound obvious, but often an outline the issue, along with a description, helps us get to a solution faster. Thinking of it like a “user story” can be a helpful way to frame the idea. For example: “As a [insert user type, I wish to [X] so that I can achieve [Y]”

  4. Who is the user impacted by this problem? - This is really useful context for us, your finance director will have a very different set of needs to a ticket buyer, for example.

  5. On a scale of 1-10, how would you assess the business value/benefit of your idea? - This is extremely helpful for the team when prioritising new features.

  6. You can also use the IMPORTANCE dropdown at the top to indicate how much of a priority it is for you.

Can I add my thoughts to someone else’s Idea?

Absolutely! From the Ideas list, you can open and comment on any existing Idea that is listed there. Or you can just add your votes to anything you would find useful.

  • Click the Idea to open the details, add your vote and add any comments or useful attachments, like a screenshot of something similar you have seen

Notes on the Ideas Portal

  • Now and again you may see that our Product Manager, Raymond, will pop up and ask clarifying questions, or for specific examples and business cases.

  • We really encourage you to engage with the portal, submit your ideas and see what others are discussing.

  • All of these ideas, votes and comments are crucial when reviewing requests and features and planning our delivery cycles. The more feedback we get, the more we can ensure we’re constantly developing and building the best system for your business.
